Not a good analogy; the Poser automobile does have an engine; it's just a Ford engine, not a Porshe. And, the engine separately would be, say, $4000, if we want to call 3DMax the Porshe. [As an aside here, there are people who would be happy paying $200 for a car without an engine.] I think it does pretty well, for the the low price. To hope for more is human nature, but to expect more is not reasonable. It could well be that Poser is not the vehicle for you. But I think if you browse through the Poser gallery, you will see that some people get a lot of mileage out of it. Perhaps if you explained what you would like to accomplish, we could better explain how to get there using Poser (assuming it is possible). --Terri
