  1. The browser "hangs" when I click a link to a thread from the "top of the forum".
        a. My connection is a high speed cable service in downtown Toronto, Canada provided by a relaible national telecom service. I have been using the internet daily since 1992 and have never had any page on any site hang or crash any browser prior to my attempt to use the Renderosity Forums after "the switch". I have no problem with anything relating to the store or Free Stuff however.
       b. It took me four attempts to view this thread right now, in each of the first three instances it "hung" on loading this page. I click the link and the window goes blank and the browser becomes unresponsive. This happens for any of five or so browsers I have tried.
        c. I believe it may be the scripts related to this reply box since there is a five second delay putting in the formating toolbars when I do get a successful load of a forum thread.
       d.  These hangs can not be interrupted by clicking the shut button on the window, by hitting Ctrl-W, or closing from the taskbar. Using the task bar to close does not work and can cause a system freeze. I must use the Windows Task Manager to shut the browser... doing so from the applications tab does not work, I must do it from the process tab and it usually takes two or more attempts to terminate the process.
        e.  If I do not terminate the process the hang persists as long as I leave it uninterupted... I have tried going and making a cappachino and returned to find the browser is still hung.
        f.  I would estimate I succesfully load a page 20%-40% of the time. I know this is consistant with the experience of a couple people with high profile in the community who dropped from sight. They told me they do not visit the forum because they are unwilling to search for a browser that does not crash when visiting the site.
        g.  I have not been able to obtain a hang or crash from any other web page no matter how hard I try. I have never had any other web page hang a browser much les five different ones.
        h.  I have not had any trouble with any other site using Bondwear forum softwear that appears to be in the same configuration (sorry, I honestly can't remeber which sites those were but I found them by Googling). This problem seems completly isolated to this forum, I have never experienced ANY problem of ANY sort visiting any other website aside from the obvious dead link every once in a while. I have never had a single other web page crash or hang any browser and this remains the case even though I have attempted to find particularly unreliably coded sites to test  and see if this problem really had to do with the new Renderosity software.

  2. Main browsers I use (I have set security to low on each incase this was a java or ActiveX problem)
        a. Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr etc etc. All updates and patches
        b Mozilla - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 All updates and patches
       c. FireFox - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 All updates and patches
       d.  I have tried three or four other browsers obtained from Tucows and obtained the same results.

  3. I have this experience regularly on two computers
        a.  Compaq Presario S4100NX -  2.5Mhz Celeron 1Gb RAM WinXP Home Edition All updates and patches
       b.  HP DV5130 AMD Turion 64 ML-37 2Ghz Media Center Lap top 1 GB RAM
        c. I had this experience on a borrowed HP desktop in New York. It was also running WinXP but I don't know what the configuration. It was also MSIE on a high speed cable connection.

I don't mean to bum you out. Obviously some people are having no problems but all of the above is absolutly true for me :(  Everytime I try to view a thread in the forum I ask myself why I am still here! I see a drop off, and as I said, I know people (using Firefox or Mozilla) who have told me they left because of exactly the same problems. I do not mean to "pick a fight", these are just the facts, you asked for them. But of course if I really couldn't take it I would vote with my feet right? :) I dunno. The bottom line is most people are happy I guess so there is no reason to worry about me dropping out :)
