If it's any conosolation, Kathy, you're in good company. I'm man enough to confess that I, too, was weeping like a big wuss by the end of the episode. Tennant has managed to do that to me twice in this series now - once in this latest episode, and back in episode 4 (The girl in The Fireplace), when he's reading Madame de Pompadour's final letter to him. Apparently, the woman playing MdP was his real-life girlfriend, so the chemistry there was easy to conjure... but that grief at the end of losing another friend seemed very real, too.
