Giving comments to recieve comments isn't nearly as sad as bringing this tired subject back for the billionth time. If you give commments, people are more apt to click on "View Commenter's Gallery" and actually see your image than they would be if they tried wading through the miillions of pictures in the galleries here.

I am very much more prone to view someone's gallery if they've viewed mine and left a comment. I don't promise I'll comment back if I don't see anything I feel needs commenting on. It's a fact of this site with it's size that many images simply go "Unviewed" because they scroll away into the abys rather quickly when a lot of people upload new images at the same time.
