ok! with what you have just written!! to start with don't PARENT dynamic cloth to anything!! dynamic cloth is a seperate object that needs to flow seperately from the figure!!! just try loading your figure that you intend to use,in the default pose,do this as most if not all dynamic cloth is set-up at the default pose!! now import your dynamic cloth, and make sure it fits(no poke through) adjust the pose if you have to to make the cloth have no poke through!! usually just arms up or forward or back,it may be the shoulder or the upper arm or the forearm that you have to move in order to get it to have no poke through!!! once done click your first keyframe!!! that is now memorised, save that if you want, then go to frame 30 and create the pose that you intend to start your animation from, once that is achieved click your keyframe again!! now go into the cloth room!! select the cloth, clothify and do the setting for collision,(work with a nude to start with so you only have to collide against the figure parts,if you include hands, head and feet be sure all the settings for collision are the same!! also remember that if you had to adjust the pose to get it to not have poke through then UNCHECK drape from starting pose!!! IMPORTANT!! now look down to your next optiions and select "edit choreographed group" a new pop up will appear!! on that new pop-up click on the arrow and from the drop-down menu select "default" everything should turn red!!! now drag that pop-up window out of the way, and then click "calculate simulation from the number 4:options!! this should now drape your cloth and simulate it up to frame 30, your starting frame!!! (then save again)try this then report back your results!! and i will try to help you through the next bit!!
