I have deleted these shortcuts on my laptop and the program now opens, only I now get a calling for com.obj, which I presume is a file used in the execution of the program, which I may have deleted in my haste to get rid of anything surplus. I'll do a reinstall now on the main computer and see how that goes.
That's what crossed my mind also, that maybe while Poser was loading the libraries it ended up loading in cycle until overloaded and crashed. Anyways, so it does look like shortcuts are also the culprit here. It's too bad that you had to delete some other files during the process but at least deleting the shortcuts can hopefully fix the problem.
