Subject: How can I make Photoshop display in true tiled mode?

i made a 800x800 image and used a 400x 400 grid as aguide (pity the large prush didn't snap to the grid  /sigh)

using the image of the previous post as  the brush and here's how it turned out,

it was only an idea that didn't quite workout (for pure large brush work)
