In the assembly room hold down CTRL and type F. This will bring up the render frame. Anything inside this frame get's rendered, so use it like the viewfinder on a camera. This frame's size and proportions are determined by the settings you select in the Render Room under the output tab on the left hand column. Select the resolution (hieght and width) for the render as well as the DPI. I normally use 1600x1200 at 200DPI since I sometimes poster print out my renders. Experiment with it to see what I mean. Just make sure everythign you want rendered is inside the render frame in the assembly room. Oh yes, one other useful feature. In the assembly room, there is a small icon above the main window with an arrow pointing up. Click it and you can change various things for the preview window. I sometimes find it useful to turn on scene lighting and show backdrop to get a better idea of what the final result will be, and to line the render up correctly if you are using a bitmap for a backdrop. Keep in mind that this does use extra resources so turn them off before you render.

Yeah, I'm new :-) how do I get the render window to match the size of the preview window? My renders are getting cut off :-)
