Totally agree Olivier. Got a nasty trojan on my PC and I am thinking of a OS re-install, but wouldn't do it just for a poser problem. Would really think about a work-around. first.. Your last line is very, very tempting, there's nothing like a freshly installed OS. But the pain, oh the pain. (Dr Smith).
