My wife and I thank you for your kind comments and we are reminded of something that happend a week before he disappeared.

Sooty was in the habbit of reaching up and pawing my arm while I was sitting at the computer. This meant that he wanted to lay on my lap, usually when my wife had gone to bed.

But on this occasion Maggie was in our sitting room next door watching tv. I schooed him away muttering something about his 'mum' being next door, but a minute or so later he was back, meowing at me and pawing my arm.

I called out to my wife to call for the cat but she didn't reply. I suddenly realised that something was up with Maggie and rushed into the other room to see what was wrong.

Sure enough, Maggie, an epileptic for over 30 years, was having an epileptic siezure and the cat had tried to alert me to the fact. I couldn't believe that a cat would do this. I was amazedand we've talked about it ever since.

Again, thank you for your comments.
