That was my bane before I got Wardrobe Wizard.

Conforming clothes are made to fit the figure in it's default state out of the "box' so to speak.

It's hard to fit around poses where the body is not in a near vertical upright position, especially skirts and dresses.  I was so frustrated that I couldn't have my figures sitting down or in poses where a leg was off centre.

I am on a PC and tried The Tailor but had limited success with it.  And magnets are impossible for me for some reason.

A program was released last year called Wardrobe Wizard that will allow you to put clothing on a figure that Wardrobe Wizard supports, analyze it, and then fit that analyzed clothing to either the same figure with morphs added to it, or to any other figure that Wardrobe Wizard supports.

If you can afford to buy it, it's a real money saver in the end. Most of your figures will be able to share one wardrobe.

For example, there is a really great dress for MayaDoll, which I don't have. The dress is free but it would be a pain for me to try and scale it up and use magnets or The Tailor to try and fit it to another figure.  Someone else who has both MayaDoll and Wardrobe Wizard is going to analyze the dress for me and send me the .dat file containing the information (not the doll or the dress files), and so long as I have the .dat file and the dress, I can fit that dress to any of the figures that Wardrobe Wizard supports, without having to own MayaDoll.
