I've had that invisible hair problem too now and then, usually with Quarker's Baby Doll hair. It will load, and it's there in the list, but it won't render. I've found going into the Geometries folder and deleting the .rsr file before using it usually does the trick. But I have to do it every time I want to use this particular hair.
