Hello Everyone again..

Here you go KIM :) This is another new corrected thread... And hope that shot is fine now! Sigh..

Sorry becasue my brains don't work really good these past weeks, and hopefuly that won't stay for long..

Anyways.. Now LETS DITIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!

JOE

btw: This shot was talking yesterday in downtown Detroit. I was going for a meeting to shoot some groups and before i cross the street to the building, i had to shoot once to check my settings. Yesterday had the worst weather ever and the low clouds were every where.. So i had to change all the settings again to fit my need since i was going to shoot in open air

Great nighttime effect Oldworld. I thought I'd go the other way and brighten it up with some snow. Joe, this looks far too European for my liking, Detriot you say eh?  Isn't that where Alice Cooper comes from?...Say, this isn't his fathers church is it?

Forget it ....I've had a hard day and its late...anyway  an Alpine like backdrop was called for too (any excuse to fit in some mountains!)

Cheers!

Ok, I went for de-industrialising it and taking it back a few years.

Oldie : Nice effect mate, you rotter.  I was gonna go for the gothic effect ;-)
Aangus....... I presume just behind the tree is a set of stairs leading up to the roof so you can get out the tea-tray and slide down?!?
Natty : Cheers for the pic!

Next time I remember to attach the frickin pic....... dur..........

OMG!! aangus!!! That is a very nice change and manipulation!! Lovely touch on the back moutain and snow..

To be honest, i really don't know the full name of the church.. But it is right on Jeferson street and when i was taking that shot, i noticed the weitten name of it on a sign, It was MARINE something CHURCH!! And yes it is in DownTown Detroit (D.T.D)..

But promise to call my friends and ask them to check it tomorrow and tell me so i can answer your quetion :) Now don't you think the floors are abit over-exposed! Or you meant it to be like that?

Nice job my friend... I like that..

And now Reborne!!!

OMG!! How long it took you to CLONE and manipulate that pic dude!!! :b_stunned:

Joe, less time than you would have thought ;-)  I do a lot of cloning in my 2D work, it's down to 3 things :  changing clone brush sizes quite a bit, copying similar areas then deleting the edge with a feathered rubber (!), and finally.... CTRL-Z !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I thought nothing of the work itself, I thank you. bows

one thing i've done to get a more realistic shadow is do a regular drop shadow (after i've selected the item i want shadowed of course) and then make the drop shadow effect its own layer and then mess with distort and skew edits.......usually works out ok (i forgot the shadow in my diti attempt  :)  old age ya know? :)

Margana ( ) posted Thu, 31 August 2006 at 7:43 PM

Yes!That's where I have seen it before. They added a drop shadow to their selection.Thank you Oldie!
