Hm. Lot's of people were saying that about e-on software...right up until the feature list for Vue 6 came out, which was pretty much everyone's suggestions and then some. Frankly, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if EF hasn't gone a checking, and found out exactly what kind of feeding frenzy they would be letting themselves in for if they did tell us anything (California Dreaming and the associated threads, anyone?). If they are doing the core code rewrite, then it will take as long as it takes.....

Oh, I remember California dreaming, but then they did exactly no listening to their user base. P5 came out and was universally hated. (I just read that they made it free. I hope it does not turn more people off and drives them to DAZ Studio...)

I know what you mean about the feeding frenzy, but Silo proves that you can design a new product together with your users, be 8 months late, and still keep everyone happy.
