I had the same idea for a H.S. based comic, but more akin to something like "My So Called Life" or "Degrassi High".  I found this site and contacted the author who was willing to sell it to me, and then I lost his email.  I just now found the site again, after forgetting about this forever.  I might contact him again and look into getting the model...
