Hello Ashley,
I can see that you are using Adobe Photoshop CS tho.. Good, now i agree with Sans2012..
This is what you have to do:
When ever your thumb is ready with the sizes you want.. You have to save it for web! It is a little further down from the Save As option!!
From the popping menu make sure to choose .JPEG and set the quality to 50 or less a bit.. You can see the sizes at the low left corner of that saving menu..
But remember one thing plesae.. Before saving for web, goto the filters menu and then sharp your image once!
