I've never been legally married, but I did live commonlaw for about 5 years (on and off).  We were engaged to be married when I broke it off with him at the end of October one year.  The following March on the day we were to have been married, I was at my friend's wedding have a blast,  LOL

When I broke up with him the dimwit threatened to sue me for "Palimony" because I breached a contract (to marry him),  LMAO

The judge would have tossed him out on his ear because the reason I finally left him was because of the physical, mental and emotional abuse.
