use some of the free 3d mod progs. then if you think you like it try out some of the trial progs...then if you still like it get the best prog you can afford.  depending of course on what you wanna do. if you just want to produce fantasy art work...(leave the fairies alone) your best bet would be to get the free version of daz studio and the free models that come with it....you can gets lots of other free stuff for it as well......use it a bit then see about getting poser.....it's not the route i took (even though i did buy it lmao) cos i realized to my cost i wanted to learn modelling. just make sure of what it is you want from the program before you make a choice. jmo
