My newer hair, including SMV's "regular" hair and the Hollywood hair set, is made of tubes that are transmapped along the length. One problem is Poser's anti-alaising must be on for the hair to look good, and for best results I render 2X and scale it back in Photoshop. The picture just above is a Max render, it was really originally to show a problem in Nax- it doesn't render the "back" sides of the tubes.
