as for that ribbon thing...

if the ribbon has it´s own material turn on transparency.

if not, then select it with the grouping tool and assign a new material to it - trans on.

if that is too annoying you can try to delete the ribbon with uv-mapper. with a bit of luck the ribbon has been mapped seperately - select it, delete it. safe the obj under a different name. open the cr2 with your text-editor and change the obj name (2 times!). save the cr2 under a different name.

if that is too annoying too you can create a transparency map for the ribbon with your image-editor.
