You can also use magnets on the clothes.
Often a combination of several techniques works best.
The Tailor is designed to create morphs in clothes that match morphs in the figure, which it does fast and fairly well, depending on the cloth mesh.
Dynamic cloth works very well for creating dynamic effects, like skirts swirling in a lambada or so. By the way, dynamics can be turned into morphs - just calculate the dynamics and then choose Object->Spawn Morph Target.
Magnets are very useful for tweaking and twiddling the mesh, they're less useful for larger displacements. Magnets can also be turned into morphs using Object->Spawn Morph Target.
