Ok, I'm working through my mails which have stacked up since I moved, so just come across this.....
I think they need to take location into consideration - I'm on a similar connection speed in the UK as I was in the states and the difference is SO noticeable. Over there it really was a lot faster - and it's running here at about the same speed as before I went stateside, so it's not a temporary speed issue. Which really bugs the hell outta me, coz in my experience so far British communications companies kick ass compared to the clowns in the states. How on earth it takes over 3 weeks for a company to decide if it can or can't supply a service is well out of my belief. A certain company over there (who'se actual service must be dead coz only the spirit is left) has 2 systems, one of which claims service IS available, the other claims it isn't - the local engineer says it DEFINATELY isn't, but the automated system called to say it is set up and is billing for it...... and no, it doesn't work. Grrr.
Sorry for the rant, it's really got my goat not being able to get anything done over there..... something when you have to travel 5000 miles for internet access......lol
