There have always been sniggering accusations about art, artists, and those who pose for them. Poser has the advantage, or disadvantage, that you don't have to persuade anyone to adopt a particular pose. It shares with photography the capacity to produce images without needing to acquire the sorts of skills which can be collectively called draughtsmanship. Both of these increase the snigger factor.
