Why not just select the body of the figure you want and export just that, leaving the head out. Make sure it's positioned the way you want it and export it as an obj file. Bring it back in, texture, clothe and your done. You can always add in some effects to the neck in PS or what ever image program you use! 
That way you have a headless figure with all of it's clothes and textures that still work you just won't be able to move it around unless you know how to rig it up.
