I had a crack at a scene a few weeks ago in a meadow with two cows seen from a bug's viewpoint, with lots of flowers and grasses and bugs and lizards and butterflys with mountains and clouds etc etc..  Was very very hard to see through the forest of wireframes to set the scene and the end result was not that good...  I learnt the lesson that overly complex scenes with many many elements are best done with separate files merged at the end, and that some ideas are best accomplished with a camera rather than a computer :-)
