Ah yes, lots of basalt cliffs/formations -- it's all around where I live in Washinton State -- east side of the Cascades.  I'm across the street from the mighty Columbia river, and a few miles from the confluence of the Snake and Columbia rivers.

I've done a few works trying to capture basalt formations, but the hex column formations (there are also other types) are beyond Vue -- or even GeoControl -- which I have.

I need to work more on this stuff a bit though.
