Subject: Looking for light-skinned textures

I am searching for light-skined textures to use with Vicki. All of the textures I have downloaded have a reddish tan kind of look. I'm looking more for a texture for a light-skinned caucasian who doesn't spend much time in the sun. Suggestions? Also, I'd be interested to know if there were a relatively easy way to lighten the skin color on textures I have downloaded.

Do you have a bitmap editor like Paintshop Pro or Photoshop?

First make sure you have all your material colors set to white when you apply a texture.

Second, you can take the image into Photoshop or any other 2D Image program and lighten the texture by playing with the brightness/contrast. There's several other ways to go about this depending on the abilities of the paint app you use.

Hope this helps.

I have both Paintshop and Photoshop. Playing with brightness and contrast might do the trick. I knew there was something I should be able to do to lighten it, but didn't know what. Thanks for the tip.

In Photoshop, you might want to play with the Variations as well. Image: Adjust: Variations, IIRC. (I'm not at a machine with Photoshop right now.) You can take out some of the redness that way and do some contrast. Also, Hue Adjustment will do the trick. (Same area in Photoshop.)

Anton Kisiel had posted 2 textures for Vicki to freestuff, but I could not find them now. They are both light-skinned textures. You could always email him and ask him if they are available for download somewhere.
