Subject: IK off by default - possible?

PhilC's python script gave me an idea.

There's a free application (Replace in Files) at http://www.emurasoft.com/ which does search / replace operations on whatever you point it at. It will make backups of the original file, too.

Note that there are FIVE spaces between  'inkyChain' and the rest of the line (e.g. 'LeftLeg'). So I replaced 'LeftLeg' with 'Left-Leg' and similarly for the RightLeg.

At first I was disappointed that the figure still came in with IK on, but I must have saved it that way originally. When I turned IK off, saved the character, and then put it into a new scene, hey presto! It loaded with IK OFF!

This little app could also be used for changing texture references and many other things, of course. Note, it doesn't work with .crz or other compressed files.

Needless to say, you should be cautious with this technique. The potential for really screwing things up is significant. But it works!
