Well, since a naiad (nyad ... whatever) is a mythical character, it's a little hard to have "conflicting images" of what one would look like.  The same artist could have several versions of the same mythical character (a good example of that would be Goya who had vastly different interpretations of Zeus devouring his children throughout his career .... Zeus and even the age of the child being devoured were amazingly different in two pieces with the same title).

You shouldn't limit yourself to one "thought" about what something "should look like."  You will only hamper your artistic vision.  Let your imagination go nuts ... step outside the box.  Do more naiads ... do a series.  If they are all as good as this one, then you are adding to good art.

Speaking only as the person looking at a really good piece of art, it looked like a naiad to me, and if you ask me what I would title it, that's what I'm going to tell you.  It doesn't matter how many images you might do in your lifetime on that theme, that's what it looks like to me.

And now I'll get off my soap box.
