If you disable automatic scaling, 1 Vue unit equals 1 inch. Tested with 3DS export from 3DSMax 6, and with OBJ export from Max.
I NEVER use the automatic scaling option.
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
