Little things like "yer" never bug me (as I was,oddly, griping about phonetic written language  - but then again, I was mostly griping about it being taught in schools INSTEAD OF the way language is written right now).
I call them "cutesy" spelling and I always thought they were just that - not a hindrance to understanding, but just cute.

Still scared about the medical records though - "What does, 'UR mptint' mean...?"
