I don't know anything about that (link you provided) but my procedure to get the materials out of one program into another is simply a matter of rendering them and a certain manner in saving the high quality image to use as a material in Vue.

My grief has hit me even harder than I was prepared for but I will eventually get the screen captures up on my web site.
