Subject: Rendering Underwater Scenes in Carrara

How would you go about doing an underwater scene in Car? I know thata in Bryce, you could just make an infinite slab and apply a water texture to it, and make sure everything is within the slab. However, in Car, there is no equivalent, and so when I try to create an infinite plane above the camera, it projects all the way down, rather than being flat. I had the plane at Z:100, but even looking downwards, from about Z:50 or so, the plane mysteriously appeared at the bottom of the scene in the render. So how would I simulate an underwater environment? I tried looking for tutorials, but there arent many for Car. The sooner I figure it out, the sooner I can finish my animation of a Penguin shooting a torpedo at a poser fish, all to the tune of Yellow Submarine. (-: Thanks for any help! This may be too basic for you, but have you looked at the Carrara 1 Bible by Doug Sahlin? The first tutorial creates an underwater scene using little or no ambient light and a dark blue back ground with matching color distance fog. If you need more specifics, email me and I can send you more information... ie a car file that's finished for this tutorial. Ken
