Using Vue Infinite, layers can help with resource management.  Turn layers off that you don't need to see or move. 

I also group objects as much as possible.  Groups help Vue when updating the screen.  Rather then remember how to draw each item, it only has to remember the group. 

Infinite also has a "replace by" function that can relly help when you have a large, detailed object.  Replace it with a cube while you set up your camera and atmosphere.  Then, when ready to render, replace it with the orginal object.
