Ah, rendering is a whole different problem. If you are running out of resources when rendering, there are a few things you can try.
Reduce the size of textures maps - this is the biggest rescource hog and the hardest to overcome. Vue 6 Infinite looks promising in fixing this problem.
Just before rendering, reboot your computer and shut down any other programs including virus protection, screen savers, wallpaper, etc. Your system tray should be empty!
Install the maximum memory your computer can use - 2GB for a Windows XP system will really make a difference. I have two computers, both XP. The older computer with 2 GB can render scenes where the duel core machine with only 1GB chokes. I need to get more memory for that system ASAP. For now, my daughter uses it for games, but once 64 bit version of Vue comes out, that may change!
