To me, Billy: forum debates are a mere diversion. Frankly, electronic discussions with people that you really don't know -- while the discussions can be interesting -- they are basically meaningless in the personal realm.
You're (your?) pretty sharp. You just need a good spell checker (like I do). But that would serve to rob you of your (you're?) forum style.
Some of the smartest people that I've ever known couldn't spell.......but I've also heard that the use of language is a major factor in generating good first impressions. If someone can say something well: then it doesn't matter so much that what they are saying is -- in actuality -- utter nonsense. It sounds good: so that leads others to conclude that the person speaking knows what they are talking about. Likewise, someone who doesn't communicate well might be the greatest genius of our era -- but their manner of speech can prevent others from realizing that fact.
I can sense your sense of humor, too. And I don't sense genuine hostility coming from you. It's more like friendly ribbing -- or at least that's the way that I read it.......and that's the way that it's intended in all of my return lobs.
