Crohns, can be a pita but my daughter was diagnosed with it - during an op for suspected appendicitis - when they found out - they took the appendix as well, while they were at it.

She had a long recovery but is doing so well, that she is due to have a baby at the end of November - and for a while there no one thought it would be possible.  Now I don't expect you fancy giving birth, lol!  but it just shows that things aren't always as bad as you first think.
