Steve posted the following at Daz:
The boxed version is scheduled for January 2007, because we plan on releasing Bryce 6.1 by the end of the year. 6.1 will be an important FREE update in its own right since it will have a collection of bug fixes that we're certain to hear about in the coming days that we'll want to address for you. On top of that, we'll have a MAC Intel compatible build out for the MAC in that release. In addition, there's a set of further fixes and feature polish that we're already working on. The HDRI lab, for instance, will have quite a few more controls added to it so that it is even more powerful and versatile in what can be accomplished with it. The dual-processor and hyperthreading support will be extended to work more thoroughly within Bryce 6 and the various previews windows, and we hope to squeeze out even a bit more speed from it. And who knows, we might even have a surprise feature up our sleeves that we'll release around that same time...
That should answer a few questions about dual threading etc :)
