So very true. We each have a personal conception of what deserves comment but frankly cannot blame the community at large or scapegoat a "group of friends". I do not depend on friends for comments, eventhough some do comment when they happen to see one of my uploads and I am grateful for their honest commentary and criticism.
The easiest way to gain more comments is to comment on the images of others. This is not a "trade comment for comment" as I see it. If simply happens that when a photographer or other artists comments on one of my images..and I am not familiar with that person, I will go to veiw their gallery. I want to see the sort of work they do! If then a comment is needed, it is given. If not, it is not.
I doubt anything anyone says here will change your thinking. I am not a bout to try to change a "decison already made and stated."
Please read Onslows comment and take a look. That comment does have meaning. Oh, why have I not commented on the shot you mention? I simply have not seen it during my limited gallery time..timing has a lot to do with it. TomDart.
