Magnet Cloner.py, by Bushi, would have headed your problem off at the Magnet stage.  Once you finished with a magnet on one side of a figure it would then create a symetric magnet on the other side, of your figure.  I just looked for his Free Stuff, and the thread I was told about it in, but ca'nt find either.  It's been around for a while though...ask and ye shall recieve.
