perhaps not too late to give my view:

I said frankly in my profile that I've hardly time to comment on other pictures (sometimes even no time to browse through the postings of my "favourites") - the more grateful I am to those commenting on my few postings.

Of course there is the discrepancy between hits and comments for portraits vs. nudes - but actually if I'm interested in valuable comments (as there are) and not only applause that's still good (and here at R'sity far better than in other communities I saw)

with emphasis on actual work and avoiding redundancy with my personal site I found it then consequent to keep my gallery as small as possible here - and that seems to work

so if someone feels hurt by "normal" behavior in such a community as RR I found it more consequent to stay present (perhaps with only a small glimpse) than to leave a big gallery and quit...
