Subject: pz3 files

As stated, textures are never embedded. .pz3 is an ASCII format so including textures would be impossible without going to some kind of binary to ASCII encoding like UUE. AFAIK, everything else, geometry, lights, poses, morphs can be included. I'm not sure of what the process is for deciding what gets included when but it's definitely not always just a description file or manifest. It's easy enough to open it in a text editor and verify, unless ... your editor won't open a file that large - which kind of reinforces the fact. Not even Poser could develop a file format as bloated as .pz3 if it only contained references to external files :-) Ed. I just tried dropping a .pz3 with embedded geometry into UVMapper and it extracted the geometry and allowed me to save it as an .obj file.
