Subject: Problems with V6I installation

ws ( ) posted Thu, 02 November 2006 at 7:12 AM · edited Sat, 23 November 2024 at 5:54 PM

Hello

I have a problem with V6I installation - My serial number includes "O" letter and I cannot introduce it during installation process (it is a letter not "0" digit). It seems that input boxes in the serial number do not accept vowels as I have no problem with other letters 😕. Despite a description I also cannot simply copy and paste the serial number. Currently the technical support in e-onsoftware is completely unavailable. There are persistent errors in their mySQL database.

If somebody has any idea how to overcome the problem please let me know.

Thanks in advance

Hi WS

From what I have seen in early threads, people are saying that if you exactly copy and paste the whole serial number from your e-mail into the first field (instead of manually typing into each field), then it should work.

Failing that - you might just have to persist with submitting a Tech Support question and/or keep an eye on the forums.

It looks like E-On are getting swamped (as expected) as everyone has questions, but I expect the initial tide will ease off.

Here's what happens........you cannot copy and paste from your email. You have to save the mail out to your computer first. Then copy......but you can only paste using the ctrl / v keyboard command.  The usual right mouse selection won't work.

Do this and you won't have a problem.

Copy the whole serial including the Vue6Inf part and past it into the first box.  I had the same problem.

An unnerving first surprise this......I struggled for almost an hour before I figured it out.

Still waiting on my download, started it at 9 a.m. GMT and I'm only 73% through part 1 of 2!!

Going to be an all nighter I can see!!

Thanks a lot. Monsoon's advice worked . Nevertheless - why they disabled vowels???

It's time to check all new features :woot:

7 Hours so far and I've only got part 1 of the download, how long did it take you guys to get it?

And what's with the extra cd download, it only has one small file in it, no content at all????

I suspect that the Extras might be forthcoming - so no-one is (or will) be losing out here. >8o)

I think the word 'Pre-Release' may have something to do with this too - if the product had everything 100% ready, they'd probably call it 'Final Release' hehe.

Hmm I wonder if the Serial Number problem might have been to prevent automated e-mail 'sniffing' of Serial Numbers... - but as long as you have it working now that's great - and thanks to Monsoon for the clarification!

I pasted from my email with no problems.

THANK YOU! LOL I was having the same problem with the "o" letter.  I was about ready to cry. LOL. I have it installing now! :)

Thanks so much for this - thought I'd be stuck for days.

I've posted to Vue tech support as it may help get it fixed quickly if they get many complaints on the same issue.
