Since I first posted this thread I also changed from 'system' in ownership/permissions to 'me' same as yours....... as you suspect makes no difference. Yes, Vue is in the default installed place of HD>Applications. When I was having this problem with Vue5 I installed Vue into my User Folder>Applications but it made no difference to the poser problem.
