This one is very nice since it has the Celestions. :)

The one thing that I really like about it, for my style, is that it can do crispy-clean distortion (old Kirk Hammett for instance) or sub-woofer thumping distortion (Pantera or old James Hetfield).  It has perfect Satriani and VH tones as well as some nice clean tones.  Yngwie is tough to match going from an Ibanez/Line 6 trying to imitate a Strat/Marshall stack. :)  But I can usually get Jimi going with the neck pickup and some twiddling.  Also, there is an application where you can upload/download tones to the amp bank channels.

The downside is that to use the Longboard effectively, you really need to have the app to organize the tones for quick switching.  I've definitely not mastered that yet.  The amp sim selection and tonal/effect choices aren't bad - but a bit limited.  Every once in a while it is tough to match the settings for the song you are playing/learning.

I added a cheap Digitech RP200 to get some more effects and tonal ranges - this might be upgraded to something better soon.  Any pointers (been a while)?  I usually go for the Roland stuff (I loved the GR-33 guitar MIDI synth - yum).

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.
