I don't necessarily disagree with what you wrote, but without intending to look for a fight or anything so serious, noted the hypocritical irony of the fact that you so needlessly laid into dphoadly, invoking the mothers' adage "don's say anything at all" while being unpleasant on the interpersonal level yourself. dphoadly merely expressed a (common) opinion about the Millennium figures. There was no "hate," there were no politics. Your response to dphoadly's impersonal remark was barely shy of a personal attack, totally unprovoked, thus, who are you to say "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Do you imagine that you come across as "nice" when responding like that?
