Taking silliness of this whole discussion apart (no offence to anyone...), my opinion is that more views means more people were lured by the thumbnail, while more comments means there were more people who spend more of their time at the image given. Time is precious thing, if someone's not your loyal fan (or a troll) and yet takes time to leave a word or two, it really means something. My gallery is neither often viewed or muchly commented, so I don't care that much, but I find personal comments more precious than anonymous hits.
