Chris, we gave up on collars long ago.  We walk the cats in our "yard", brush and woods and moss.  Two males want to run too far and we have harnesses on them.  The ladies have learned the limits and do not go beyond certain trees.  Cats are really too active and rambumtious for collars it seems!

Renal failure in Casey's situation is lack of water intake.  She drinks a lot and likes the gravy in her  wet food more than the food.  We tried prescription diets but she would not eat it.  And with 4 cats all eating at the same time...difficult.  So, she eats and enjoys.  The problem down the road is dehydration but with a once a week instillation of water under the skin can help for a couple  of years.  It has not come to that yet.  Our prayer is that when she goes and her spirit is free and in a better place, it will be at home that it happens.  Then, her old body will join the 4 others beneath the hill behind out home.  She knew and was a friend of one, Sadie, pictured earlier in the thread.

Tunde, Casey is about 15 years old.  She has enjoyed a full life and we want her happy to enjoy what is left of it.  In human terms, she is an elderly lady.  Yet, she is still a lady, indeed. I do love this critter!                 Tom.
