I've invested too much on clothes for V3 / M3 to even think about upgrading to V4 anytime soon so I'm not in a big hurry.
To answer the question--no, I don't think DAZ needs another generation of figures. I only purchased V3 / M3 because the clothes looked better than the ones I had for the Mil 1 & 2 figures.
