Modeled in Groboto 2 Rendered in Carrara 5 pro.

Tried it in bryce, Bryce imported ok but when I hit bsmooth the bryce app went blank for 20 minutes then I closed it.

Such a lovely shape. It's beautiful. Can you export the textures too ?? Do you have some control over the shapes in groboto or are they a big surprise ?? are they hard to export ?? I have many questions in my hed :)) I have used Xeno Dream and there it take a long time to export the objects and its hard to get them to look good after the export, and the filesizes are enormous. I hope groboto does a better job ( Ok im NOT an XD expert so it can totaly be my  own fault ;) Maybe it's better to use Carrar for this Groboto-things. I have Carra 5 std version. I am seeing forward to some answers on my questions. PLEASE ;)) I dont have the Groboto demo yet due problems with my broadband connection. Thank you in advance.  "Sophie"

I haven't tried groboto 2 and Bryce but it works beautifully in Carrara. I have used the original groboto a lot with Carrara for doing scientific biological images; it is unrivaled for an organic feel.

How cool. I love organic-shapes. I am really seeing forward for this program. I want my broadband connection back so i can download the demo. Maybe later this week ;))     "Sophie"

Hey Sophies, delayed ebot, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Anyway I textured it in carrara, But I'm pretty sure that textures can be exported from groboto along with the models group, most likly in a seperate file. Oddley enough I never tried that while beta testing this.

You might be able to join  groboto forum At groboto.com and find out all you ever wanted to know about it. Even though the site says join the forum if you have groboto, I think you may be able to join without it or at least see answers to question others have posted.

Export of this 60 meg file was about 30 seconds, not bad concidering it's hundreds of models saved  one group.
Bryce and carrara both imported it fine with out much time differance.
Bryce was fine until I hit bsmooth. But Cararra just plain handles it better and of coarse would render faster. Again try to join that forum if it's up now even if you don't have groboto yet? for lots of answers. You might also try this email with questions, but they are swamped and it may take a while for a reply

Yeah, a 60mb mesh is going to take a while to smooth out in Bryce. I hate that the smoothing operation causes Bryce to basically look like its frozen.

I won't be able to get into my Groboto until tomorrow night, can't wait!
